What To Do About Flu

The American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA) has published on its website a checklist of key legal issues for health care providers dealing with
pandemic flu outbreaks, such as the current Influenza A (H1N1) "Swine Flu Epidemic." The comprehensive 96-page checklist includes such items as:
- consent to treatment
- isolation and quarantine
- altered standards of care
- avoiding malpractice liability
- various ethical considerations
