Jackson Walker partner Bob Latham spoke on international libel law on October 5, 2010, in Houston, Texas.

Mr. Latham's speech was titled "Protecting American Free Speech When Publication is Global -- An Update on International Libel Law." The event was hosted by the Houston Bar Association. Mr. Latham's remarks focused on the issues leading to passage of the Speech Act that was signed into law by President Obama on August 10, 2010, and is designed to curb so-called "libel tourism."
